reNEw NE trustees commit themselves to:
• Provide as safe an environment as possible for activities that take place.
• Ensure that all those who will work with children and young people have undergone appropriate recruitment processes including completing an application form and taking up references. Where the role involves unsupervised access to children and young people, a current DBS will also need to be held by the applicant.
• Obtaining and maintaining records of personal disclosure and reference details for all volunteers and helpers. Where a DBS obtained from another organisation is used then it will either be checked on the update service or an original certificate will be seen and the details recorded.
• Maintaining records of information for children and young people on events including health and information forms.
• Support, resource and monitor the work of volunteers on reNEw NE events
• Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines as appropriate.
