Community Missions were pioneered in Longbenton and Byker between 2009 and 2012. Their purpose is to engage with children, young people and families through community activities and Christian teaching. They aim to be especially appropriate for those not connected with church.
Each community mission is different because it is developed through consultation with local Christians about how to best to connect with and meet the needs of the local community.
